Operational

SEO Ops checklist

Shipping pages is step one. Ranking is iteration. This is the calm, repeatable checklist to keep SelfBloom's SEO healthy after domain launch — without chaos.

Rule

The weekly loop

1) Index health → 2) Rankings/queries → 3) On-page improvements → 4) Internal links → 5) One new asset.

Search Console (weekly)

This is the source of truth for indexing, queries, and errors.

  • Confirm sitemap is processed.
  • Check Coverage / Pages for errors.
  • Review top queries & pages (Performance).
  • Find pages with high impressions but low CTR → improve titles/descriptions.

Index & crawl health (weekly)

Prevent invisible failures (404s, duplicate canonicals, accidental noindex).

  • Spot-check /sitemap.xml loads.
  • Check robots.txt isn't blocking key routes.
  • Check canonical URLs are correct (no duplicates).
  • Scan for 404s and redirect chains.

On-page improvements (weekly)

Small improvements compound.

  • Add 1–2 internal links from strong pages to weak pages.
  • Add DefinitionBlock to key pages that deserve snippets.
  • Add 1 FAQ section to a page that ranks but doesn't convert.
  • Ensure H1/H2 structure is clean and scannable.

Core Web Vitals (bi-weekly)

Speed is credibility. Keep Lighthouse 95–100.

  • Run Lighthouse on homepage + pricing + top insight page.
  • Reduce heavy images (prefer next/image, WebP/AVIF).
  • Avoid large client JS bundles.
  • Remove unused dependencies where possible.

Backlink operations

Use /press, /directory, /whitepaper, and the /tool/state-check as your linkable assets. Outreach should be calm, honest, and targeted.

Locked completion

Phase 2 essentials are now complete

Authority signalling + topic hubs + ops loop are live. Next work is execution: publish real founder details (optional), convert Top 10 insights into hand-written longform, and run outreach weekly.
